PolicyTALKS – GILTI / Corporate Fair Share

On May 13th, 2025, MassBudget hosted our first PolicyTALKS event. Researchers, advocates, and policymakers explored how to improve corporate tax fairness and build a stronger Massachusetts.

Moderated by MassBudget President Viviana Abreu-Hernández, the panel included Senator Jason Lewis, AFT Massachusetts President Jessica Tang, and MassBudget Policy Director Phineas Baxandall. Panelists discussed how GILTI could enable Massachusetts to curtail tax avoidance by billionaire corporations, generate over $400 million annually, and make our tax structure more equitable for small, local businesses.
