Marissa Cremin
Development and Communications Manager
Marissa Cremin is the Development & Communications Manager at the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center.
As a proud alumna of Westfield State University, Marissa is an advocate for public higher education. Her studies in Communications and Political Science laid the foundation for her career in mission-driven communications and civic engagement. During her time at Westfield State, she served as a four-year Senator in the Student Government Association where she led community service efforts and connected students with critical resources.
Prior to joining MassBudget, Marissa worked for several years in Development and Alumni Relations within the higher education and human services industries. Marissa is a passionate advocate for mental health. Her leadership within the Boston chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance deepened her understanding of health disparities and inspired her to pursue her Master of Public Health.
Marissa is committed to strengthening community partnerships and utilizing storytelling as a pathway to equity and sustained impact. In her free time, she volunteers on the Board of Directors of the East Boston Community Soup Kitchen, where she serves alongside staff and volunteers to address food insecurity in her neighborhood.
